When it comes to celebrating a special occasion, you can’t go wrong with a good Italian restaurant.

A fixture in Manchester since 1984 and the perfect place for group dining, Don Giovanni is a popular choice for Christmas bookings.

It’s got the added benefit of being within five minutes walking distance of the Palace Theatre, Manchester Opera House and Bridgewater Hall, so it’s ideal for anyone catching a show after lunch or dinner.

Crisp white tablecloths and deep orange booths set the scene whilst suited and booted waiting staff glide effortlessly across the restaurant floor.

A solid marble bar runs the length of the entrance, with high bar tables perfect for enjoying a cocktail or two whilst you wait to be seated.

For Christmas 2019 they have put together a selection of festive menus packed with favourites featuring everything from traditional roast turkey dinners to charcoal-grilled steaks and rich lobster ravioli served in a homemade bisque.

There are three menus on offer for parties and groups of eight or more, with prices on the  menu starting at £32.95pp for three courses.

If you fancy pushing the boat out, the three course Rigoletto and four course La Traviata menus include a glass of organic prosecco to help kick off your Christmas celebration.

At £42, the La Traviata menu is the most luxurious. It starts with a traditional Italian antipasto sharing board of olives, grissini sticks, mozzarella, marinated aubergines, peppers, courgettes and tomatoes and finishes with a digestivo cocktail after dessert.

Don Giovanni is open on Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve a five course set menu priced £59.50pp is available from 7pm.

For this month only, you can enjoy two-for-one cocktails all day every day in the bar area.

Don Giovanni, Peter House, 1-2 Oxford St, Manchester M1 5AN.
