Disappearing Dining Club is coming to Manchester in November, bringing their innovative eating experience to the city for the first time.

Launched in 2010 by Stuart Langley after 15 years of running bars, restaurants and members clubs in London, Melbourne & Ibiza, he was joined in 2011 by Head Chef Fredrik Bolin (Zafferano/Glasshouse/Ulrikas NYC).

Over the years they’ve thrown dinner parties in lighthouses, launderettes, abandoned music venues, antiques shops, over a five floor department store, churches, salvage yards, under railway arches, in photographic studios, on film sets, in galleries, fashion stores, recording studios, private homes, car parks, on beaches, rooftops, in street food markets, gardens, and countless warehouses of all shape and size.

The Manchester dinner party will take place inside Murray’s Mills, in Ancoats, and is the first of three to be held in the restored mill’s rarely seen Victorian interior.

Dinner Club MCR is four courses with wines, cocktails and music from the DDC team.  Food will be served family style, on long dining tables, with dishes shared by friends and strangers.  There are three dates, Thursdays November 14th, 28th and December 12th, with further dates being announced for 2014.

Like all DDC venues, Murray’s Mills has no kitchen, with everything built in the venue from scratch, just for the night, including: kitchens, lighting, sound, furniture, power, water, toilets and trained staff to look after all of the guests.

Doors open at 7pm with dinner service at 7.30pm.  The £46 pp dinner tickets includes a welcome cocktail and a four course dinner. Cocktails, wines, spirits, mixers and beers are available at regular bar/restaurant pricing.

The menus will change for each dinner party, and will be advertised on the DDC website in the run up to each night.

Vegetarians, or anyone with specific dietary requirements or allergies just need to get email [email protected] and tell DDC what they need to know, so tasty alternative dishes can be provided. £1 from all tickets will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.
