Some of the very best of Manchester’s food and drink vendors will joined forces this weekend to launch the first of many #FOODFIGHTMCR.
From the award winning B.EAT STREET team who bought you #FRIDAYFOODFIGHT and #UPINYOURGRILL, the new weekly event hit the ground running following their successful run of street foodie shindigs.
“Brilliant atmosphere and great
use of the space.”
The event which combines food, drink and DJs took up its home in an unseen disused area of the Great Northern Warehouse.
The unit, situated above Lucha Libre and All Star Lanes, hosted Piggie Smalls, Viet Shack, Dim Sum Su, Coq O’ The North, Dirty Food Revolution, Reds True BBQ and Papa Ganoush for its inaugural FOOD FIGHT in the burgeoning part of town.
City centre professional Chris Grimes said: “Best venue yet for food fight. Brilliant atmosphere and great use of the space.”
The ten week run of Friday night parties, which started on Friday, will continue until Friday 19th December with eight traders each week. Plus each week will have four or five guests ensuring that no two line ups are the same. Each week will be made up of a mix of existing venues from across the city and the cream of the crop of up and coming street food vendors.
Chris Legh, from B.eat Street, says:
“We really wanted to go back to the area where B.eat Street first started and the Great Northern Warehouse offers a brilliant opportunity in one of the most vibrant parts of town.”
