Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights to celebrate 19th anniversary with special Manchester charity screenings – how to get tickets

Both series of Peter Kay’s classic comedy Phoenix Nights are to be shown on the big screen for the very first time to celebrate the cult show’s 19th anniversary.
The special charity screenings will include exclusively recorded new cast interviews and will take place in Manchester and London, with all net profits to aid Cancer Research UK.
The Bolton-set comedy classic was about the Phoenix Club, where boss Brian Potter (played memorably by Peter Kay) ruled the roost alongside a colourful cast of characters including Jerry ‘The Saint’ St Clair, house band Les Alanos, Max and Paddy and all the gang. The series first started on Channel 4 back in January 2001. The final episode aired in September 2002.
The new screenings, which include three different sessions at the Manchester 02 Apollo in Ardwick in February 2020, are set to be a huge hit with fans. And organisers are encouraging fans to dress up as one of their favourite characters from the show. But please be advised that there will only be limited spaces for wheelchairs.
Caro Evans, director of partnerships at Cancer Research UK said: “We are so grateful to Peter for arranging these unique screenings of such an iconic TV series to raise money. The money that is raised from the events will fund vital research to beat cancer.”
The screenings will start with three shows at London’s Eventim Apollo in January 2020, before moving up to Manchester’s 02 Apollo in February 2020.

Tickets for the special charity screenings of Phoenix Nights go on sale on Saturday September 28th at 9am from gigsandtours.com / ticketmaster.co.uk / eventim.co.uk
