MANCHESTER’S historic Corn Exchange is set to transform itself into a unique ‘drinks emporium’, showcasing and celebrating the city’s famous and diverse drinks scene. The whole building will be reclaimed by Manchester for the occasion, and brought to life for 4 big party nights.
A unique mix of the best bars, mixologists and liquor gurus will occupy the empty retail spaces within the mall and convert them into themed, pop-up drinking dens within the city centre destination from 24th to 27th October.
“…drinks brands and local bars will showcase their talent and offerings in an iconic Manchester space.”
Each drinking den will be dominated by participating bars’ unique persona – all creating their own mini Corn Exchange Pop Up. Plus there’ll be a DJ stage and central seating area creating a ‘bar festival’ experience all under one iconic roof – and its completely free!
One of the city’s most legendary bars, Socio Rehab, which closed on New Year’s Eve this year is to be recreated for one weekend only in one of the venue’s most interesting vacant spaces for the occasion, as the team present ‘Socio Reborn’. More details of this exclusive re-imagining to be revealed soon.
Manchester bar stalwarts The Ducie Bridge create their own acoustic bar, and Mark Addy’s Robert Owen Brown brings a Cider Fest to the proceedings with his pop up venue – The Barn Yard. Meanwhile Kro Bar host a their own mini real ale festival.
Corn Exchange recently announced it is set to be transformed into one of the UK’s ‘biggest and best’ dining destinations.
No drinks festival would be complete without a little of the best food around, so Almost Famous will be on hand to serve their legendary pulled pork burgers alongside their own kick ass cocktails!
XFM Manchester, an official media partner to the event will be adding to the soundtrack with DJs at the XFM Stage.
