Black Sheep Coffee

Coffee and cocktail specialist Black Sheep Coffee is to open its third Manchester venue this month, taking over a prime Deansgate unit.

The specialist independent coffee shop group best known for its cafes, kiosks and cocktail bars, will open in the former Patisserie Valerie site on Deansgate.

The site is the third addition to Black Sheep Coffee’s presence in Manchester, joining its existing venues located in Piccadilly Place and Spring Gardens.

Co-founders Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth, aim to challenge the current establishments with their approach to the coffee industry.

The new Deansgate venue will offer all its coffee-based beverages, such as its Nitro Cold Brew, alongside its newest speciality coffee – Tudo Bom, an 86 graded coffee which has been naturally processed on the mountains of Cerrado Mineiro in Brazil. The coffee has a rich and fruity profile with notes of chocolate, cherry and walnut, and a full-bodied edge, particularly refreshing for the summer.

The cocktail menu will include a selection of classic cocktails such as its well-known Espresso Martini, featuring its full-bodied specialty grade Robusta, vodka and coffee liqueur, or the fruity Pineapple Express with gin, Campari, white rum, lemon, turmeric and pineapple. For non-alcoholic refreshers, guests will be able to sip on Black Sheep Coffee’s selection of bespoke organic smoothies, such as the Berrysta, featuring bananas, cherries, blueberries, goiji and acai berries, strawberries and almond milk.

The new shop will also serve Black Sheep Coffee’s Norwegian Waffles, which are hand-made on site. The options include sweet and savoury creations, such as The Classic, made of brown cheese and jam, or the Limited Edition waffle featuring strawberries and cream. Also on the summer menu will be Black Sheep Coffee’s hotdogs, featuring either beef or pork and cheese.

The new Manchester shop will be on Deansgate, opposite Kendals, and will open its doors on 6am on Friday 16th August.
