The USA may be out of the World Cup, but they’re not out of the hearts and minds of the country that once owned them. This Friday is independence Day, and whether you think it’s weird or not, the English are pretty enamoured by it.
Our favourite cupcakery Hey Little Cupcake favour the hype and present us with a collection of patisseries that perfectly surmise everything that we enjoy about our Yank cousins (read – food). For a very limited time between Wednesday the 2nd and Friday the 4th itself, the cute little Spinningfields asset will fly stars and stripes by honouring popular American puds such as Mississippi Mud Pie, Peanut & Jelly, Boston Cream Pie and Blueberry Pancake.
What would national celebrations be without a dollop of cliche? Hey Little Cupcake are also offering a Stars n Stripes creation, as well as an Oreo (American), Coffee (New Yorker) and Chocolate (Viva Las Vegas) cakes.
How much? Prices range from £2.25 – £2.75.
