At some point in the past few years, brunch in Manchester evolved from just a hazy interim term for late breakfast into a fully fledged movement.

Where once hollandaise-drizzled poached egg muffin combos were a rarity, now they’re everywhere. As a result, the brunch scene in the city is only getting more competitive.

One place that’s staying ahead of the game is The Anthologist. Their sister site The Refinery in Spinningfields already has one of the best bottomless brunches in the city, and now they’re about to launch their own version on St Peter’s Square – with an added musical punch.

Launching their new menu on 9th March, for £29.95 you can start the party early with music, unlimited brunch cocktails, wine, beer or soft drinks with your choice of brunch from their wide-ranging menu.

All the brunch favourites are still on there – think smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, full English, steak and egg, and eggs Benny, Royale and Florentine – as well as some more adventurous options, like the buttermilk fried chicken waffles served with avocado, sour cream and maple syrup.

But the menu also spans into lunch territory, with halloumi burgers, cheeseburgers and fish and chips available alongside comforting homely favourites like fish pie with a cheddar potato crust and creamy butternut squash risotto making an appearance.

Available every Saturday between 11am and 4pm, there’s a maximum 90 minute seating time, with last tables for bottomless brunch at 2.30pm. Brunch tables over six people require a £5 deposit per person, and tables of eight or more may be required to pre-order.
