In honour of the late Tim Bacon, the team behind Living Ventures have set up a charity page to aid the progression of related treatements.

Help raise funds for The Christie, where Tim spent so much of his time over the past couple of years and for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, where his beloved nephew Jett, tragically lost his own battle against the same foe in the very same week, aged 11.

Whether you were family, friend, colleague, supplier, customer or just someone who had the pleasure of encountering him, I’m sure you will agree, his charisma was infectious. His presence was awesome. His smile lit up even the darkest of days.

Tim fought the good fight against cancer for many years. He lead his team with unwavering strength and commitment and was at work, doing what he loved, on the very day he lost his battle against this indiscriminate disease.

Tim was passionate about raising funds for the Melanoma Research Fund (MRF) which has supported many of the recent breakthroughs in the treatment of Melanoma. They are continuing to make major progress in the treatment of melanoma, developing new drug treatments that are meaning more patients are likely to live longer. But there remains a lot more to do, and the MRF is integral to this. This will revolutionise the way cancer is prevented, diagnosed and treated worldwide.

Don’t be sad, Tim loved and lived life. He created livelihoods and brought us all together with a great deal of happiness as one big family. Each one of us now walks taller for knowing him. Feel free to come along and remember him with us.

Tim’s beloved nephew, Jett Bacon, a pupil at Unsworth Primary School in Bury, passed away on Wednesday 4th May, after being diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer in March 2015. Jett, aged 11, was cared for on Ward 84, the Paediatric Oncology Department at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The family would like to help raise funds towards state of the art chemotherapy infusion pump units. When administering treatment to the children during the night, they will have less audible alarm systems enabling every child and parent to get much needed, uninterrupted sleep. The main aim being to enhance the environment for the children during this difficult time.

Thank you in advance for your kindness…
