Kevin Hart and Ice Cube were in town this week and made a surprise appearance at the northern premier of their latest film, Ride Along 2, at The Printworks 

The unexpected arrival of the celebrity pair was met with excitement and shock by 200 fans who thought they were just getting a sneak preview of the film at the exclusive screening on Tuesday.

One fan said: “I won some free tickets for myself and a friend by entering a competition on The Printworks Facebook page. We were excited to be seeing Ride Along 2 before it is released, but when Kevin Hart and Ice Cube walked in to the screen before it started, I thought I was hallucinating – it was so surreal.” 

Kevin also had a Hart to Hart at the Manchester City Football Academy where he took part in a penalty shoot-out against namesake, City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The eagerly-anticipated sequel to the smash hit original, Ride Along 2 dethroned Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the USA with a four-day gross of $41.5 million from 3,175 theatres and is released in the UK today. and also sees director Tim Story, plus Cube’s fellow producers Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner join the line-up. 

Ride Along 2 promises even more ridiculous action than last time. Catch it at the AMC cinema at The Great Northern, Deansgate.
