Chorlton favourite The Laundrette is one of the new kids on the block in town after launching its city centre venue at First Street last month – read here
Like its Charlton sister The Laundrette or its Shudehill cousin The Washhouse, there are strictly no washing facilities here. If you’re still confused, here’s a visitor’s guide to misleading names and places in Manchester. Famous for its cocktails and carbs offering, the swanky new decor may look different from the original but it hasn’t lost its Laundrette quirkiness. The neon signs and copper finishing make it feel like Chorlton’s grown up big sister.
And fear not, the menus haven’t changed. As well as featuring a long list of amazing cocktails like the Walnut Whip and Soap Sud Caipirinha, the food menu has been supercharged, thanks to an onsite charcoal pit and clay pizza oven.
The 100 seater restaurant is open 10am-12am and has a heated south-facing terrace to keep you warm on nippy winter nights.
Owners Patrick Hall and Jon Charles are clearly fond of a pun or two and are promising the finest Pornstar with 9oz of meat at the First Street venue. Sounds like an offer we can’t refuse.
What’s more, they’re offering 50% off food throughout January. Go!
