Good news for those of us not signed up to Dry January: GRUB‘s Winter Beer Festival is returning for the fourth year running in the new year.

The weekend event, held at Fairfield Social Club, will see 90 beers pouring from over 30 taps covering 40 local, national and international breweries, plus street food and music from some of Manchester’s top DJ talent.

Local breweries providing ales at the Winter Beer Festival will include Runaway Brewery, Blackjack Beers, Squawk Brewing Company and Pomona Island Brew Co, alongside beers from national brewers such as The Kernel Brewery, Wylam Brewery, Siren Craft Brew, Brew By Numbers and Burning Sky Brewery.

The festival won’t just be offering big dark stouts, either. You can expect crisp pilsners and lagers as well as the odd berry sour.

Street food will come from one of Manchester’s original street food traders, Fat Annie’s, dishing up freshly griddled hot dogs. And vegan and gluten free options will be covered by Dosa Love, who specialise in the South Indian lentil pancake dosa.

And the Winter Beer Festival is a dog and kid friendly knees-up, too, so you can wrap up warm and bring the whole gang.

“Beer festivals are all the rage in the summer, but our winter festival shows beer fans love to drink great beer in good company all year round,” says festival organiser Gareth Raines.

Winter Beer Festival will start on Friday 17th and will run until Sunday 19th January 2020, with five different sessions over the weekend. The event will take place at Fairfield Social Club, Archway 6, Temperance Street, M12 6HR.
