It’s happened. Mr Right has finally proposed. You’ve met the in-laws and they’re just about bearable. You’ve picked your ring. You’re engaged. Now what?

A lot of us have fantasised about our dream wedding. What it’ll look like, where it’ll be, who we’ll invite and won’t invite. It can be stressful but now is the time to pry yourself off the sofa, stop watching Say Yes To The Dress and drag yourself away from bride-themed Pinterest boards.

One of the biggest wedding shows is coming to Manchester Central on the 28th and 29th October, with one goal in mind – to help you get everything right for the big day. You’ll find hundreds of venues, photographers, designers, bakers, stationers, florists, caterers, and wedding planners to help your wedding go off without a hitch.

So maybe that beach-style wedding with party lights and the perfect sunset with 500 of your closet friends and family dressed to the nines isn’t too far fetched after all. The National Wedding Show will help make it happen.

Here’s our pick of the events at the The National Wedding Show.

Try out the Secret Garden VIP experience

VIP ticket holders will discover hidden treats and surprises around every corner in the exclusive VIP Secret Garden. Swan past the crowds at the door and make your way straight to the garden for a complimentary Twisted Halo with your bridal party. Then head down to pick up your luxury wedding goody bag (worth over 100 quid) and work out which of the wedding suppliers you can’t afford to miss that day. You’ll get reserved seating at the Catwalk Show too so you can feel like Victoria Becks – even if it’s just for the day.

Check out the latest designer dresses

For every bride-to-be, finding that perfect wedding dress that makes you look and feel amazing is crucial to the success of your big day, when all eyes will be on you. The National Wedding Festival features a Bridal Zone, Designer Boutique and Bridal Boutique, bringing together an unrivalled selection of bridal shops and designer labels, with something for every taste, budget and style. You’ll be able to try on as many dresses as you like, with no appointments necessary. And there’ll be plenty of discounts to help you save a pretty penny.

Listen out for Jukebox Band

Undoubtedly one of the most important – and often most memorable – aspects of your wedding day will be that first dance together. For that you need music. Whether it’s a classical string quartet or a rocking six piece band that you’re after, The National Wedding Show is here to help. The finest selection of musical entertainment acts from Jukebox Band will be performing at the show throughout the day on The Entertainment Stage to help you choose your perfect musical accompaniment. If you want to bust out in gangnam style, that’s up to you.

Enjoy a glass of fizz

Stop by The Champagne Bar for a glass of fizz to toast your engagement, discuss your wedding planning and what you’ve seen at the show so far.

The important thing is to let loose and have fun. You’ve found someone who’s willing to spend the rest of their life with you. That’s the hard bit. Now it’s all plain sailing.
