Three sensational tasting events not to be missed at this Catalonian favourite

Head into Barton Arcade from Deansgate and you’ll find family-owned Catalonian independent, Lunya. Winners of City Life’s Best Restaurant in 2015, the multi-award winning deli, restaurant, and bar is set across two floors with stunning views of Deansgate from the upstairs restaurant.

Owners Peter and Elaine are incredibly passionate about sourcing the most authentic and delicious Catalonian and Spanish produce available. In the deli, you’ll find over 40 Catalan and Spanish cheeses on offer, alongside some of Spain’s best wines, sherries, cavas and spirits- not to mention an extensive collection of jamón, all of which is hand carved by their talented team to order, fresh from the bone for you.

You can find an incredible selection of produce in the restaurant and bar, too. It lays claim to the largest selection of Spanish gin, beer, wine and spirits in the city, not to mention Lunya’s own award-winning takes on traditional Catalan and Spanish dishes.

Gin Tasting – 25th April

If you love your gin, you’ll be pleased to know Lunya are offering a guided tasting of their vast collection of award-winning Spanish gins on April 25th. For just £30pp, enjoy learning about the way that gin is produced before tasting a variety of top notch favorites from their collection accompanied by a variety of tapitas and ingredients designed to complement each gin’s botanicals. Cheese Tasting – 9th May

Luna are hosting a cheese tasting evening on 9th May, giving you the perfect excuse to sample dome of the beautiful products available in the deli. Also priced at £30pp, you’ll taste 12 different kinds of cheese accompanied by a flight of three wines, plus a cheese-inspired cocktail and a 10% off voucher for any cheese purchased on the night.
