This Manchester chocolatier has created the perfect Easter egg for the selfie lover

With everyone becoming selfie-obsessed it was only a matter of time before our selfies became edible.

And now, just in time for Easter, one of Manchester’s most popular chocolatiers has done just that – with the Selfie Egg.

Slattery’s in Whitefield has become well known for thinking outside the box and have certainly done that with a personalised egg to which you can add your favourite selfie – of yourself or a loved one.

It’s the perfect Instagram-worthy choice for that selfie-obsessed friend or relative.

They have already been inundated with orders since releasing pictures of the Selfie Egg on their Facebook page just last week.

The Selfie Egg is available in two styles. You can either get a full 6” Easter egg with a chocolate phone and a sugar crown on the front for £13.95 or just a half egg with a flat side for £10.95. The latter is the easier option to send by courier.

To create your selfie masterpiece the process is simple. Choose your best selfie or favourite pic of your loved one, email it over to Slattery’s and your order will be ready to collect within three days.

Or if you fancy a wander around Manchester’s version of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, you can pop in to the shop on Bury New Road in Whitefield and have your egg made whilst you wait.

The Selfie Egg is just one of many from the retailer’s new Easter range.
