The Stone Roses reveal they will release a brand new single tonight

They say that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But when Manchester gives you lemons, expect news about the Stone Roses

When lemons appear on the streets of Manchester, it’s a tell tale sign that the Stone Roses are about to make an announcement.

Last time was in November last year, shortly before it was announced that the band would be performing a series of reunion concerts – including some at the Etihad – in June this year.

So when lemons were spotted across the city centre earlier this week, the speculation began.

Now the band have announced via a press release to the NME and their own Twitter account, that they will releasing their first single for twenty years tonight at 8pm.

Which just goes to prove that good things come to those who wait.
