The Killers tour Manchester

Rock icons The Killers have announced a huge summer gig in Manchester as part of an upcoming UK and Ireland stadium tour.

The Las Vegas band will head to the Emirates Old Trafford cricket stadium in May 2020, fresh from the release of their eagerly-anticipated sixth studio album, Imploding the Mirage, in the spring.

The Killers, famously named after a fictional band in a music video by Manc music pioneers New Order, will also be joined at the Emirates Old Trafford gig on 20th May by Stockport’s very own Blossoms.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday, November 22nd.

Their new summer tour will also include dates in Falkirk, Norwich, Southampton, London, Bristol, Coventry, Middlesbrough and ending in Dublin on June 16th.

The Killers, fronted by Brandon Flowers, blasted into the music big time with their 2004 debut Hot Fuss with its breakthrough singles Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me.

They have gone on to sell 28 million albums with countless Grammy, BRIT, Q and NME nominations as well as headlining stadium and festivals around the world.

Their 2019 Glastonbury performance included the band joined for their encore by some of their music idols on stage – Pet Shop Boys and The Smiths legend Johnny Marr.
