Wilmslow’s nightlife has seen many changes over the past 10 years.

But whilst countless venues have come and gone, Revolution has remained at the heart of the town’s thriving bar scene.

Not one to rest on its laurels, the popular venue has now closed its doors temporarily as it undergoes a remarkable £200K makeover.

The revamp will include state of the art special effect lighting, specially commissioned wall murals, 3D artwork and plush new seating throughout.

Another new addition is the ultra-VIP ‘Best Seat in the House’ area, which is sponsored by global vodka brand, Ciroc.

Destined to be the hottest seat in Wilmslow, say owners, it’s the perfect spot to sip premium vodka cocktails whilst soaking up the electric party atmosphere synonymous with Revolution

The upstairs bar will also be completely transformed and will be the place to be for those looking to indulge in one of the venue’s cocktail making classes – one of the town’s most popular events for anyone hosting a hen party or special celebration.

With all-new booth seating and a brand-new VIP bar, it will be the best bottle to table experience in town, and the ideal spot for people-watching with views of the bar below.

Guests will be able to enjoy Revolution’s cocktails, ranging from the Millionaire Martini with its mix of Grey Goose and Kahlua to the fruity Mango and Passion Fruit Daiquiri.

Diners can expect the same unique take on modern bar food, including the Brooklyn Mac ‘n’ Chicken Burger – a combo of crispy fried chicken and Brooklyn Beer mac ‘n’ cheese, and a National Burger Awards finalist.

Sharing platters include veggie and vegan versions available alongside the classic House Sharer, and the extensive pizza menu is also returning, with hand-stretched sourdough bases, authentic Italian tomato sauce and mozzarella.

The brand is also continuing its mission to be carbon neutral by 2030, after hitting the headlines in 2021 for its forward-thinking tactics.

One of just a handful of UK-based companies to sign up to the pledge to hit net-zero, the Revolution Bars Group won the prestigious Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice for their commitment to the scheme.

‘’Revolution Wilmslow has been central to the nightlife action in town since opening, but we felt the time had come to up the ante,” said general manager, Matthew Hodges.

“The new design is nothing short of breath-taking and will allow us to remain at the top of our game.

“The attention to detail is incredible – everything from the high-tech lighting system to the plush VIP Ciroc seating area just pops.

‘’It’s the perfect setting for a memorable night out.

“We’re also determined to hit our carbon neutral goal by 2030 and have worked hard to make some key changes for the better.

“We can’t wait to welcome our regulars back to see the transformation.’’

Revolution will re-open on Friday 17th June at 27 Alderley Rd, Wilmslow SK9 1HY.
