The first ever Manchester Soul Festival takes place on Sunday, August 30th bringing together Motown and soul musicians from all over the UK to celebrate the iconic Northern Soul scene in aid of The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust…

The event has been organised by DJ Frank Byrne, who has been undergoing treatment for oesophageal cancer at the Withington hospital.

With over 30 artists, bands and DJs already confirmed to perform, the line up will include sets from soul favourites, The Casino Allstars, Dougie James, and The Soul Amigos and Twisted Soul.

Casino Allstars front man Paul Kidd, who has been helping Frank to organise the event, said: “We are all so passionate about this music genre and the event is a really exciting idea for us because we’ve never done anything like this before. It speaks volumes that all artists jumped at the chance to be involved, free of charge to support Frank and The Christie.”

The all-day event i want to buy alprazolam online kicks off at 2pm on Bank Holiday Sunday, with The Oldham Scottish Pipe Band parading through the Pump Yard. Revellers will be invited to purchase a wristband for £5, which will entitle them to special Manchester Soul Festival offers throughout the venues in The Printworks.

Participating venues include Tiger Tiger, where there will be a specially designated Groovy Wonderland bar, as well as The Hard Rock Cafe, The Bierkeller and many more.

There is also something for the kids with face painting, a silent auction with a haul of luxury prizes and special discounts.

All proceeds from wristband sales will be donated to The Christie. The event organisers hope to raise upwards of £10,000 for this fantastic specialist facility and are already nearly a quarter of the way to their target.
