If you fancy winning free travel on the Metrolink this holiday season, it’s your lucky day.

Transport for Greater Manchester has just launched their Christmas treasure hunt, giving savvy Mancs the chance to bag free weekend travel across the Metrolink for the next five weeks.

The transport service will be stashing Golden Noel baubles across the line and posting riddles on its website every week to give commuters clues where to find them.

If you can solve the clue and find a Golden Noel, you’ll be entitled to free weekend travel for up to two adults and three children at once in the weeks running up to Christmas. Simply show it to the ticket inspector in lieu of a ticket to claim your travel.

The figurines will be hidden across the lines by Metrolink staff alongside Noella the Elf, a new collectable character introduced this year.

And there’s more. Snap and share a photo of either Noel or Noella using #TFGMNoel and you could be in to win some fantastic prizes.

Riddles go live on the TfGM website from midday on Friday 8th November and will change weekly in the run-up to Christmas.

Those who find a golden Noel will be entitled to free weekend travel between 9th November and 22nd December.
