Gino D'Acampo to open new Italian restaurant at INNSiDE Manchester

Gino D’Acampo is set to open a ‘premium Italian restaurant and bar’ at the INNSiDE by Melia Manchester Hotel in February.

This venture comes on the heels of an impressive £800k refurbishment of the First Street venue, previously known as the First Street Bar & Kitchen.

Gino D’Acampo’s expanding culinary empire already includes upmarket venues in London and Leeds, with three more UK locations slated for 2024.

Crafted by internationally acclaimed restaurant designer Bernard Carroll, the ambience of the new restaurant will exude chic and contemporary vibes.

Gino’s signature features, including ambient lighting, marble-topped tables, and brass finishes, will enhance the 200-seated open-plan restaurant and bar lounge.

A designated bar area at the rear, complete with a reimagined island cocktail bar and a dedicated entrance, will seamlessly connect the restaurant to the outdoors.

A New First Street Restaurant

The restaurant’s elevated two-tier terrace overlooking the vibrant First Street square will offer a perfect setting for patrons to enjoy the cultural offerings of the area.

Further investment in the 80-seated alfresco area, known as one of the city’s best-kept secrets, will transform it into an all-weather terrace, ensuring a delightful experience year-round.

Behind the scenes, the restaurant’s kitchen is undergoing modifications to bring Gino’s full menu to INNSiDE Manchester, including his coveted Neapolitan pizzas and signature dishes. The menu, personally designed by Gino, will feature classic Italian dishes with a focus on quality and ingredient provenance.

Speaking on the announcement, Gino D’Acampo expressed his excitement, stating, “I couldn’t be more pleased to announce plans for Gino D’Acampo at INNSiDE Manchester.

“It has always been our intention to open a Gino here, and I’m looking forward to launching this early next year.”

This collaboration marks Gino’s third venture with INNSiDE by Meliá, known for its world-class operating standards.
