Always fancied being on a stage performing in front of an audience? Budding stars of the future should get themselves down to New Bailey this summer, because the new city klonopin centre, mixed-use development just over the bridge from Spinningfields is about to get its own mobile stage.

POP-UP HERE is a brightly coloured 2.4 x 1.2 m platform mounted on castors which is light enough to  move around New Bailey. It will be used to elevate and entice budding performers from all walks of life to have their five minutes of fame.

Launching on Saturday 16 July, POP-UP HERE has teamed up with football fanatics Streetwise Soccer who will bring their 1V1 cage and inflatable target to the space from 11am until 5pm. It’s a fun and healthy way to keep the kids (and parents!) entertained if you’re heading into the city centre for a spot of shopping or sightseeing.

“Part-programmed, part organic, we’re hoping the community will adopt this space and make it their own,” said Libby Witherden, who leads on New Bailey’s events programme. “Programmed events will be advertised on our website but there will be some spontaneous stuff to look out for too!”

There’ll be lots of free activities throughout the summer, so if you fancy busting a groove with your dance troupe, singing along with the pop-up piano, getting some laughs at lunchtime comedy or showing off your juggling skills, head over to the platform throughout the summer. And don’t forget to post a pic on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #POPUPHERE.

To find out what’s happening at POP-UP HERE or to suggest an idea, visit www.new-bailey.com or follow @NewBaileyM3. There is multi-storey parking on site.
