If you’re planning on making the most of the last of the Manchester summer this week, pop over to Corn Exchange where they are offering free picnic kits to anyone picking up a takeaway at lunchtime.

The first twenty guests to order takeaway and pick it up this week can enjoy the delicious food from Corn Exchange’s restaurants while also enjoying the sunshine in Cathedral Gardens.

The choices are endless with 10 fantastic venues offering a range of takeout treats. From the taste of Italy at Zizzi, Gino D’Acampo’s My Restaurant and super fresh Vapiano, to a classic burger from Bryon or a taste of the Far East from Pho or Tampopo, there’s a takeout to suit every taste.

Why not take your Pizza Express out on to the lawn? It’s perfectly packaged to enjoy straight from the box. Or build your own midday meal at the deli counters at Salvi’s and Wahaca.

The picnic kits contain picnic sheets, cutlery, cups and plates, all packed up in a simple canvas bag. The kit also contains a rubbish bag to dispose of everything quickly and easily, once lunch in the sun is done.

For that lunchtime away from the office, take advantage of Cathedral Gardens, a hidden gem in the city for green space with views of Manchester Cathedral, Chetham’s School of Music and National Football Museum.

Just ask a member of the concierge team for a picnic pack once your meal has been collected.
