Garage Bar, a brand new pop-up on Bridge Street catering for cocktail and beer lovers alike, opened its doors last night.

Over 100 people attended the VIP launch of The Garage bar who were entertained by a fire and angle grinder (yep) entertainer, dance troupe along with rock band After Party. The party carried on over all three floors, including the outside roof terrace overlooking Bridge Street, with cocktails and free drinks for guests.

Guests ‘refuelled’ with draught beers, ales, bottled beers, ciders, wines and car-themed cocktails with radical names such as Spark Plug, Anti-Freeze and Super Charger.

Passers by were amazed by a classic car parked outside, illuminated by a fire performer. As the event began to get busier, complimentary drinks including prosecco, cocktails, beers and food – mouthwatering burgers served in brioche buns, chips and pizzas. The atmosphere was buzzing.

Among the guests was Simon Naylor of new Deansgate theatre 53two who said: “What a fantastic new venue. We had a great time. I loved the attention to detail – especially the sinks made from tyres!”
