As part of their set Sunday lunch (2-courses £20pp or 3-courses £25pp), award-winning restaurant The Cherry Tree at Blackrod has created a show-stopping Beef Wellington to share (£5 supplement), where the tender beef has already been cooked in a water bath at 56 degrees for two hours, wrapped with wild mushroom duxelle and parma ham and lovingly wrapped in the butteriest puff pastry. All you need to do at home is pop it in the oven and serve it.
Or maybe your mum would prefer a hamper full of luxurious goodies? For just £20, The Cherry Tree’s hamper contains white chocolate dipped shortbread biscuits, a box of six handmade chocolate truffles, homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream, a homemade fruit scone and sweet vanilla and prosecco cupcake – plus a fruity cherry bakewell bath bomb and a cherry-scented candle.
