To coincide with Manchester City Football Club’s ongoing stadium expansion, the club has renovated its popular Legends suite at the Etihad Stadium…
Legends, a place where past and present legends live on, gives fans the opportunity to enjoy the match day atmosphere in exceptional surroundings. Icons including Mike Summerbee, Colin Bell, Ian Brightwell and Tommy Booth will have their careers immortalised in Legends, as a tribute to all those who have helped lead the club to where it is today.
‘Fans visiting Legends
will be able to experience
the thrill of watching new
legends in the making
play on the pitch’
Legends is a panoramic, modern, 450-seater restaurant with breathtaking views across the pitch. Guests can expect to be treated to first class football from the comfort of an executive padded seat and enjoy traditional matchday fare served at the chef’s buffet dining table. A match day programme, car parking and a cash bar are also included to ensure City fans have a fuss-free matchday experience. Fans visiting Legends will be able to experience the thrill of watching new legends in the making play on the pitch, alongside the chance to meet a real City legend enjoying the facilities.
To celebrate the opening of Legends for the 2015/16 season, City is offering those that book a table a vintage City shirt signed by a Legend of choice including Peter Barnes, Colin Bell, Tony Book, Tommy Booth, Ian Brightwell, Joe Corrigan, Richard Edghill, Gary Owen and Mike Summerbee.
Commenting on the new Legends restaurant, City legend, Mike Summerbee, said: “I’ve always loved mixing with fans on matchdays. It’s the same for all the ex-players. You simply can’t beat the sense of anticipation and excitement of a home game at the Etihad Stadium. Most matchdays you will find us all in Legends, chatting to fans, trading stories and experiences. It’s a superb space for fans wanting to experience and celebrate City’s proud history, but more importantly watch as future Club legends are born like Sergio Aguero among others.”
Created to Premier League specification, Legend’s aesthetic is light and airy, friendly and informal in style to will appeal to families, groups and corporates. The light wood flooring, modern round white tables and light blue leather restaurant seating mirror City’s modern, welcoming style. The open plan restaurant has 132 tables and a canteen style kitchen area which will appeal to guests seeking an enhanced yet informal match day experience.
Manchester City has developed a new sales showroom designed to showcase the full range of their hospitality offering, including the renovated Legends suite.
