Make your Valentine feel extra special with a dinner date at this elegant Thai restaurant

Still not decided how to spoil your loved one on Valentine’s Day?

You may have the flowers ordered and the choccies on standby, but most people would rather opt for a romantic dinner than receive all the naff tat that comes with the day of love.

Chaopraya, one of Manchester’s most elegant Thai restaurants, has finalised its Valentine’s menu, so if you would rather rely on food being the way to your date’s heart than cupid’s arrow, this is a menu you will definitely want to be involved with.

Known as the Land of Smiles because of its natural beauty, friendly people and fascinating culture, a little bit of Thailand has been recreated at this beautiful restaurant on Chapel Walk, just off King Street.

Enjoy three courses and a glass of prosecco for just £39.95 per person.

Start off with the mouth-watering Valentines Platter boasting a selection of chicken spring rolls, red curry battered prawns and chicken satay all served with a selection of Thai sauces.

Then head onto the main course where you can indulge in beef in black pepper sauce, a Thai red prawn curry, the ever so popular stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts or a crispy duck salad.

But remember to leave space for dessert. You won’t want to miss out on the Chocolate Box, a dark and white chocolate mousse with a lemongrass centre served with coconut ice cream. Oh my.

Fear not veggies because there are plenty of options on this Valentine’s menu for you for just £32.95 per person, starting with the Vegetarian Valentine’s Platter of sweet corn cakes, mixed veg tempura and Thai vegetable tacos.

Mains lead you onto a Thai red curry, tofu with cashew nuts or a tofu tamarind served with coconut rice.

So if you haven’t already booked somewhere to wine and dine on Valentine’s Day, why not book a table at Chaophraya? Available 14th – 16th February.
