Shoppers can stay safe and buy local this Christmas on a Virtual Christmas online market which will support local independent businesses in their time of need.
It’s an online group for Christmas shoppers to buy from local businesses that’s proving very popular with both buyers and sellers.
Traditional Christmas markets have unfortunately closed due to the Coronavirus, but the shoppers are still there and so are the sellers, so an online group is the perfect platform to bring them together!
The event will run throughout November and December then after Christmas it will turn into a Virtual makers market.
It’s all about bringing the community together to support local businesses. Many sellers rely on the trade at Christmas markets each year, so when it was announced that one by one they had closed, it was a huge blow to market traders.
This way, buyers and sellers can continue to trade safely.
Sellers upload photos of their products into the group, and buyers view them and order via the sellers website, Etsy store or by simply sending a message to the seller, the customer can pay by PayPal or other electronic payment system and the seller will post the order. Or they can arrange safe delivery or collection.
We now have sellers selling such a wide variety of products from Christmas decorations, personalised gifts, wreaths, embroidered gifts, handmade brooches, to handmade candles and soaps. New sellers are joining daily, it’s amazing to see all the talent in the local area.
