The Antiques Supper Club

MedEquip4Kids is working with John Benjamin, expert Jewellery Historian, Lecturer, Writer and Broadcaster, best known for his regular appearances on BBC Television’s ever-popular ‘Antiques Roadshow’, to bring you ‘The Antiques Supper Club.

On  Thursday 23rd June, we will be welcoming you to join us for both a ‘surgery’ to have your antique jewellery examined and explained by John Benjamin, followed by a two course supper and complimentary drink accompanied by John’s presentation on ‘Romancing The Stone’ an in-depth and fascinating discussion on the progress of jewellery design from Late Victorian mass-production through the Edwardian Platinum era, Cartier, Fancy Colour Diamonds Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Post War Jewellery Design and the impact of simulants on today’s global market.

Surgery time – 6pm – 7pm

Antique jewellery will be assessed and discussed by John Benjamin. As a rule your jewellery must be 100 years old or older. John only asks that you do not bring watches!

Supper club with presentation – 7:30pm – 10pm

John will deliver a pre supper presentation on the progression of jewellery design, before a delicious two course meal with one free pre-supper drink.
