Salary: £38,000-£41,000

Overall purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead partnerships and relationships with employers in Greater Manchester and Birmingham and new regions in the North West as Breaking Barriers expands to enable more people of refugee background to access meaningful and stable employment.
In 2021 Breaking Barriers expanded into Greater Manchester and Birmingham with a contract to deliver the Refugee Transitions and Outcomes Fund (RTOF), a social impact bond focused on employability support for refugee communities. The next 12 months are a key period for the programme, in which we aim to support 200 of our refugee clients into work. This is a particularly outcomes-focused area of Breaking Barriers work and an exciting opportunity to develop initiatives with employers that get refugees into employment or support their journey into work. Together we can meet employers' hiring needs, deliver social impact to the communities they serve and focus on solutions that get refugees into employment.
At Breaking Barriers, we put businesses at the heart of our mission to help refugees find meaningful employment. We have a portfolio of award-winning corporate partnerships from Bank of America to Burberry and work with them to develop and deliver initiatives such as work experience, work placements and refugee recruitment pathways, to support our refugee clients on their journey to employment. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, the purpose of the Senior Employment Partnerships Manager is to lead our regional strategy that ensures partnerships with businesses in Birmingham and the North West region result in greater employment outcomes for our clients. As a Senior Manager in our regional hub, you will be responsible for ensuring our activities with businesses achieve the RTOF Programme targets of improving refugee employability skills and access to work.
You will develop, secure and drive forward relationships with national and regional businesses that will hire and support local people from refugee backgrounds in Greater Manchester and Birmingham and have opportunities to support new regions in the North West as Breaking Barriers expands.
