If you’re looking for the ultimate treat when it comes to dining out, you’ll want to try James Martin Manchester’s exceptional new tasting menu.
Diners can enjoy seasonal creations by James and the James Martin Manchester team using the best locally sourced ingredients, focusing on flavour and a mix of modern and classic techniques.
At just £38 for five courses of the best contemporary British fine dining, it’s already incredible value.
But for a limited time only, it’s even more of a steal.
If you’re lucky enough to have booked the tasting menu before early February, you can get five exquisite courses, with vegetarian options available – and you’ll also receive a free matching wine flight.
The menu starts with tender monkfish ceviche served with cucumber, lovage and Maple verjus, accompanied by a crisp glass of Vaporetto Prosecco DOC.
Seasonal wood roast squash is next, served with Yellison curd tortellini, sage and pickled pear, followed by bass with purple sprouting broccoli, seaweed butter and brown shrimp – plus a perfectly matched glass of The Paddock Chardonnay from Australia packed with peach and tropical fruit flavours.
Ale glazed ox cheek makes for a hearty winter warmer dish with barley, wild mushroom, beer-pickled Roscoff onion and artichoke, with a glass of full-bodied La Esquinas Malbec from Argentina to accompany it.
And with James famed for his puddings, those with a sweet tooth will love the elegant carrot financier with blood orange sorbet and cream cheese mousse, which is paired with a Chateau Guirand Petit Sauternes dessert wine from Bordeaux, France.
Vegetarians needn’t miss out, either, with a dedicated menu including the likes of marinated and smoked beetroot with lovage and pickled kohlrabi, slow roasted celeriac with wild mushroom, potato dumpling and fermented celeriac sauce, and roasted artichoke with barley and wild mushroom risotto and beer-pickled Roscoff onion.
Food of this standard is an absolute bargain for under £40, including wines – but you’d better be quick because this incredible offer is only running until 4th February.
If you didn’t manage to make this special offer, though, fear not, because Valentine’s Day is just round the corner and James Martin Manchester is going all out with a very special one-off menu to celebrate in style.
The romantic five-course menu just for 14th February features five mouthwatering courses, including James’ signature Thai spiced Cornish crab risotto with lemongrass, lime leaf and green chilli, BBQ crab with green curry, and aged beef fillet with ox cheek croquette and heritage carrot.
Not only that, you’ll also get a complimentary box of chocolates.
Go on, treat yourself.
The special tasting menu for £38 with free matched wines runs alongside the main a la carte menu and is available Wednesday and Thursdays 5pm-9.30pm and Fridays 5-7pm, until 4th February. Strictly bookings only. The Valentine’s dinner is £65pp for five courses on 14th February, with a complimentary box of chocolates.
