Ah Mancunians. It’s the people of Manchester that make it such a special place to live, work and visit. Cool. Cultured. Cosmopolitan. Their own little twist on individuality, and Humans of Manchester aims to capture it in a story of a thousand words.
An exhaustive catalogue of Manchester’s inhabitants, HOM sets out to snap people of Manchester one story at a time. In addition to their portraits, the posts include quotes and short stories from their lives.
Taken by Mancunians, these portraits and captions have become the subject of a vibrant social blog. Humans of Manchester now has over twenty thousand followers on social media, and provides a worldwide audience with daily glimpses into the lives of strangers on the streets of Manchester; our fair beloved city.
