Hometown heroes The Courteeners have just announced they will be playing an Arena date at the end of the year.

It coincides with the unveiling of details regarding their long-awaited sixth album More. Again. Forever which is set for release on 17th January 2020.

It follows 2016’s gold-selling album Mapping The Rendezvous, and the band’s biggest ever headline show at Manchester’s Heaton Park this summer – which sold out all 50,000 tickets in just three hours, thank you very much.

The Courteeners

The band, formed in Middleton, will play at the Arena on 14th December. Sure to be a sell-out, tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday 6th September.

Of course, they’ve played venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall, Sheffield’s O2 Academy and Blackburn’s King George’s Hall, but nothing compares to a home gig. Especially if your home city is Manchester.

We wouldn’t hang about if we were you.
