Never mind Valentine’s Day. Apparently, the most popular time of year to pop the question is Christmas.  More than a third of wedding proposals take place during the festive period.

Surprised? So were we. Whilst most marriages tend to take place in the summer months, research conducted by wedding planner app suggests that just over a third of all engagements happen during December, with as many as 15% happening on Christmas Eve and 11% on Christmas Day itself.

Once the warm glow of your new engagement has settled, you’ll want to start planning your wedding. While plenty swear by Pinterest and Instagram as the perfect inspirational wedding tools, everyone reaches a point when they’ll want to see things in person.

Fortunately, there are plenty of wedding open days and fairs taking place across Manchester in the next few weeks. We’ve picked out some of the best to save you having to do the hard work yourself because we’re nice like that.
