Get free travel on Metrolink for a year with Moda

Getting around Manchester isn’t the easiest thing to do. The roads are mobbed with heavy traffic, there’s next to no parking in the city, and as for buses … well, they just never turn up on time.

That’s why Metrolink, Britain’s largest light rail network, is Manchester’s pride and joy. Quick travel around the city and beyond without having to worry about petrol or parking spaces – and it’s better for the environment too.

The only problem is, it costs. So what would you say to free tram travel for a year?

Angel Gardens, Moda Living’s brand new luxury apartment development in the Noma district, has teamed up with Metrolink to introduce Move in with Metrolink, a brand new transport scheme, which will offer 50 Moda Living residents free travel across Greater Manchester by tram.

The scheme aims to reduce the amount of congestion on the roads, to reduce demand for city centre parking spaces, and help tackle air pollution. It’s a simple equation: more tram users equals fewer cars, and fewer cars equals less pollution.

Angel Gardens is due to open in October, with over 460 rental apartments available for modern day renters – perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy all the benefits of city centre living.

Health and wellness lie at the heart of the development. There will be free health checks for residents, exercise suites, comfortable living spaces, and none of those pesky hidden fees. Say hello to a 24-hour gym, communal lounges, a private dining room, co-working spaces and a multi-use roof terrace designed with residents’ physical and mental wellbeing in mind. Oh, and there’s even a cinema screening room, too.

One of the most exciting features of Angel Gardens is that the reception will have a live feed connected to TFGM’s transport news, meaning residents will receive live travel updates as and when they happen. You’ll never be late to work again.

Moda managing director Tony Brooks, said: “Our partnership with TfGM aims to connect some of the most vibrant communities in Greater Manchester allowing those who live in the city centre to easily commute to the city’s out-of-town hubs including Media City and MAG for work or Altrincham and Didsbury for leisure.

“Our ambition is to bring about positive change to renters. To do this we are delivering modern and convenient living spaces where communities combine with services and technology that make our renters’ lives easier, healthier and more inspiring.”

Move in with Metrolink is working with other developers and city dwellers to encourage the use of sustainable modes of transport.

But Moda will be the first developer to offer a free one-year, all-zone Metrolink pass, allowing people to get about without harming the environment. Mr Attenborough would be proud.
