It seems there’s a new diet fad and healthy eating style every year and always somebody with an opinion on what should work for you. Your trainer recommends carbs all day. Your friend wants you to go vegan and save the world. And you’ve read on the internet about diets that will balance your mental health and improve your weight loss.

Food Sorcery Cookery & Barista School in Didsbury are here to help you navigate the minefield of diets and phony advice with their recipes and healthy guides. Leading their crusade on healthier lives is kitchen maverick Jan Cron, who is hosting a series of Fit Food Classes. For people serious about healthy food from athletes, cross fitters and body builders down to those who don’t train, the classes will teach you how to create meals as delicious as they are good for you.

Jan spends his time researching different diets, weighing up the pros and cons of each and then the important part – making sure they taste great. Fit Foods suits people with busy lifestyles who are passionate about cooking quick, healthy and tasty meals at home. The emphasis is on great flavours that have health benefits.

The fit food classes are tailored to your needs and there are no restrictions on skill level. Jan takes either a 90 minute one-recipe class or a three hour three-recipe class, meaning you can build your cooking repertoire over a few weeks of classes. Plus you get to enjoy eating then take away everything you cook.

Jan’s experience and excitement is evident as he talks about why he is passionate about healthy cooking: “I’ve spent a lifetime learning the best cooking techniques and perfecting flavours. If 70% of being healthy is what you eat and 30% is exercise then we need to concentrate on getting the best balance of tasty food into our bodies.”

With a catalogue of healthy recipes and blog posts on their website Food Sorcery has all the resources you need to hand in order to develop a healthy lifestyle. So in addition to the practical on-site Cook, Eat & Takeaway sessions you can discover lots of tips and tasty meals from the comfort of your own home.

Blog posts are there to provide a sensible insight into the world of diets, fads and general healthy eating, shattering urban myth diets and ‘fake news’ about healthy lifestyles like the ‘cotton ball diet’.

The recipes on the blog have also been developed by Jan Cron, using his years of research into making healthy food taste great. Each recipe has full detailed ingredients and methodology as well as tips to improve your skills and serving suggestions, along with beautiful pictures to match each dish.

Thanks to Food Sorcery you can enjoy tasty meals, be healthy and learn something new along the way.

Fit Food Classes start on 18th October at their base in Didsbury. Prices start at £45 per person.
