St Patrick’s Day Parade

The Manchester St Patrick’s Day Parade 2023 is back at the Irish World Heritage Centre this year!

Join us on Sunday 12th March 2023 for a day of celebrations. The Funfair will be open on the day, and the week leading up to St Patrick’s Day. (Times to be confirmed). There will be food and drink available at the IWHC on the day too, of course. (Menu to be confirmed).

The parade has returned to the old, shorter route this year. We will leave the IWHC, turn Left onto Queens Road, then turn left onto Cheetham Hill Road. We will then be walking straight up to the AO Arena, past St Chad’s Church, before turning round, and heading back. The parade should take around 2 hours from start to finish, and is around 2.5 miles long. If you’d like to register a float or group to join the parade, please email [email protected] with your information and contact details. – We welcome groups from all communities, who want to join in the celebrations, and there’s no charge for participating.

The Initial Timetable for Parade Day is as follows…

• 10am: Gaelic Mass
• 11am: Irish Dancing in the Foyer
• 12pm: Parade Leaving the IWHC
• 2pm: Parade Returns to the IWHC (Approximately).
