Explore identity, culture and lived experience through a series of imaginative artworks made from everyday objects, discarded items and waste.
As part of the Reclaimed Narratives project, three artists present playful and thought-provoking installations in public spaces:
Rosie Antiszko’s Mobile Street Art Gallery
Five old wheelie bins become tiny exhibition spaces. Inside, you’ll find whimsical dioramas made by local people, featuring everything from Taylor Swift fairies to a talking mongoose and a grindylow.
Hathaikan Kongaunruan’s Street Food Stall
This is no ordinary food stall. Instead of snacks, you’ll be served handmade paper blooms crafted from recycled materials by the Creative Conversations group at OT Creative Space. To get one, simply swap it for a piece of litter.
Lisa Blake’s Don’t Touch My Hair
Take a seat in a chair wrapped in braided bin bags and immerse yourself in an artwork exploring Black women’s relationship with their hair. Sitting down invites you to listen, reflect and engage.
This street-based exhibition invites you to look differently at what we throw away, and what we choose to hold on to.
