Experience a bold celebration of queer Indigenous culture as the critically acclaimed Aotearoa-based collective FAFSWAG take over HOME for the duration of MIF25.
FALE SĀ / SACRED HOUSE is the result of a two-year creative residency and invites audiences into a powerful space of ceremony, storytelling and transformation. Drawing on deep ancestral knowledge from the Pacific diaspora, the project explores what it means to create a sense of home for cultures shaped by movement, displacement and resilience.
This immersive takeover includes an always-on digital art exhibition, live cultural ceremonies and a vibrant programme of Indigenous cinema, talks and public discussions.
Founded in Auckland in 2013, FAFSWAG’s work reimagines the future through a queer Indigenous lens – blending ritual, spirituality, environmental themes, language and fantasy with striking visual art and performance.
FALE SĀ / SACRED HOUSE is not just something to witness – it’s a space to enter, listen and reflect. A celebration of cultural exchange that invites participation rather than consumption.
