Take part in Francis House’s popular annual walking event and enjoy a day out in the beautiful Macclesfield countryside, in aid of your local children’s hospice.
The Cheshire Three Peaks Challenge takes place every June and is a brilliant opportunity to support Francis House whilst safely enjoying the great outdoors.
With two distances to choose from, we have a route to suit everyone – regardless of walking prowess…
The Challenge Route (13.6 miles):
On this route you’ll tackle Tegg’s Nose, Shutlingsloe and Shining Tor. Winding through the scenic Macclesfield landscape, the walk encompasses Trentabank and Lamaload Reservoir, offering spectacular views from all three summits. The route covers some very steep terrain and requires a good level of fitness. Freshly prepared lunch packs will be provided mid-route.
£20pp / FREE for under 16s
The Family Trail (6.5 miles):
All ages and abilities can enjoy this 6.5 mile ramble through the countryside, which will take you through beautiful moorland, heathland and woodland.
Whilst well-suited to families and less experienced hikers, the walk is nonetheless challenging. You should expect to encounter a few climbs along the way, but the stunning views will make them worth your while!
Cost: £15 / FREE for under 16s
