There’s no shortage of theatres in Manchester. The Palace and Opera House show mainly West End productions and musicals whilst the Royal Exchange Theatre, the largest theatre in the round in Britain, The Lyric Theatre at The Lowry, which has the largest stage in the United Kingdom outside London’s West End, and HOME, with its two performance venues, show everything from classic theatre and revivals to contemporary drama and new writing. The Greater Manchester Fringe puts on hundreds of productions every summer
