Sunday 11 March. That’s the day everyone should be making note of – and forgotten at your peril – Mother’s Day. The annual occasion to show your mum how much you appreciate her – and how you are the best child, of course.
Here at I Love MCR we’re helping you get one better (and possible one-up on your siblings too!) with our selection of seriously good experiences and offers to spoil your mum on and around Mothering Sunday.

Lunya
Treat your mum to a Catalan cultural and dining experience at elegant Deansgate restaurant Lunya. There are two beautiful menu options on offer for Mother’s Day Sunday 11 March, and they are also giving all Mums a free gift on that day: a copy of the Relish North West cookbook, which features recipes from some of the leading restaurants across the region. To kick off Mother’s Day, Lunya is offering a ‘Bubbly Breakfast’ from 10am-11:30am – a five-course breakfast with a Spanish twist, including tea or coffee and a glass of Buck’s Fizz for just £12.95 per person! The ‘Mother’s Day Banquet’ menu is available for lunch and dinner and has been curated especially for Mother’s Day with 11 tapas dishes to share between two, plus a glass of Cava sangria on arrival. All for £29.95 per person and a children’s menu is also available for the under 12s, for just £7.25. Sounds superb to us.
King Street Townhouse & Harvey Nichols: ‘Stay & Shop’ Collaboration

Not only is it a picture-perfect historic location in the city centre, but King Street Townhouse is serving up tea, dinner and film screenings to make mum feel truly special. For classic elegance why not book her in for Afternoon Tea? Then for a fine feast there’s Sunday lunch in The Tavern area – 12pm and 6pm on Mothering Sunday with a special three-course menu. And don’t forget the films, as Mamma Mia will be showing at both 3pm and 6pm in the brand new and exclusive screening room on Mother’s Day. Go for golden child and treat your mum to something special from Harvey Nichols. You can tuck in too, as for just £30 you can indulge in a three course meal from the bespoke Mother’s Day menu at the Manchester Second Floor Bar and Brasserie. Those who dine on Sunday 11 March will be given a voucher for a complimentary ELEMIS 30-minute BIOTEC Technology Facial worth £45 to redeem in Harvey Nichols. Zouk Tea Bar & Grill
This Indian and Pakistani restaurant just off Oxford Road serves up some seriously exciting food sure to impress mum – and they are even giving away a Mumbai Mess free to every mum eating in their restaurant on the day.

Struggling to think of something truly special? Selfridges Exchange Square have the answer – by hosting two very exciting events with some fantastic guests. Something your mum is sure to remember! Cabana

The Laundrette
