The team over at Manchester’s top bowling venue, All Star Lanes, believe every day should be Mother’s Day and to prove it, this year they’re offering mums a complimentary Mumosa cocktail (no prizes for guessing what classic cocktail it’s based on).

All Star Lanes is widely-known across the city as a great day out for fun-lovers of all ages, and this offer makes it the perfect destination for Mother’s Day this year.

And not only will your dear old mum get a free cocktail when she orders one of the mains from the menu, she’ll also get a free game of bowling. That’s what we call a strike!

You’ll find All Star Lanes in the Great Northern Warehouse, just off the main Deansgate strip, and it’s probably the most state-of-the-art bowling venue in the city with beautiful furnishings, private rooms and a whiskey room.

After your game, you can even drag your mum into one of the karaoke booths to have a singalong to some classic songs (as well as some not-so-classic songs, if that’s what she’s into).

When it comes to food, you and your mum will have plenty to choose from on this top-class American-style menu.

There’s the failsafe classic burger: a 6oz slab of high-quality meat, with all the extras and condiments you could wish for; an amazing mac’ n’ cheese, that you can upgrade to include jalapeno peppers, maple glazed bacon or even a chargrilled lobster tail; a delicious buttermilk chicken burger; or a mighty 10oz hanger steak, served medium rare with skinny fries.

And if either of you are vegetarian or vegan, there’s the El Jackitan burger (a jackfruit patty with a long list of mouthwatering extras), or the stunning rainbow chopped salad, containing roasted squash, edamame beans, avocado, Cajun roasted chickpeas and a whole lot more.

For bowling, it doesn’t get better than All Star Lanes. All the lanes and pinspotters have been flown over from America, so you can be sure you’re getting the best quality and most authentic experience this side of The Big Lebowski.

And of course, there’s the All Star Bar, serving up a superb range of cocktails, drinks and non-alcoholic shakes and sodas, to keep things going after your mum has finished her Mumosa.

So why not make a special day of it this Mother’s Day? At All Star Lanes you can spend an entire day treating your mum to some of her favourite food, drinks and activities.

Just be sure to let her win a couple of games, even if you do see yourself as a 21st century bowling kingpin. It’s the least you can do after all those years pushing you about in a pram.

Remember though, this offer is only available on Sunday 22nd March – be sure to book in advance to make sure you and your mum don’t miss out.
