Proper Tea at Manchester Cathedral is a modern tearoom with a twist on the traditional brought to you by broadcaster & tea fanatic Yvette Fielding and the team behind award-winning Northern Quarter eatery, Teacup Kitchen late last year.
“…I just hope that mum doesn’t share too many early childhood stories of me!”
Yvette is hosting a special afternoon tea for mums and their families in Manchester this Mother’s Day (Sunday 30th March).
The tea fanatic will be hosting two sittings at her new tearoom where she’ll be joined by her mum Angela. Guests will join the pair in a private room where they’ll enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea including three tiers of home-baked treats, loose-leaf tea and a celebratory glass of Prosecco. There will be two sittings at 12.30pm and 3pm.
National treasure Yvette, who became a household name through shows including Blue Peter, Most Haunted and Ghosthunting said: “I can’t wait to host this event and have mum there for the occasion too! We are looking forward to welcoming lots of families in to celebrate this special day with us.
“The food will be fabulous, the atmosphere a bubbly one and of course there’s the incessant conversation from mum and I who’ll no doubt work our way around the room sharing stories with our guests! I just hope that mum doesn’t share too many early childhood stories of me!”
Any groups of three people or less wishing to attend will be seated in the beautifully refurbished tearoom itself, where Yvette will be making regular appearances. In here, afternoon tea will be priced at £16.00 per person or £40.00 for two with boozy bubbles. The afternoon tea with Yvette and her mum, Angela, will be priced at £25 per head.
Bookings can be made for parties of four or more by calling 0161 832 3220.
Proper Tea at Manchester Cathedral is child-friendly and wheelchair accessible, with accessible bathrooms and baby changing facilities.
