Actors Shona and Christian have just started working together on a true crime docudrama. Christian plays a cruel abuser-turned-killer. Shona plays his survivor.
As filming progresses, their feelings for each other grow – along with fear, self-doubt, frustration and a creeping sense of danger.
On Me focuses on the challenges of being a role model, ally, spontaneous romantic and potential victim all at once when chasing love in the post #MeToo era.
Dangerous To Know’s highly successful production of the play on the 2022 Greater Manchester Fringe achieved an Off West End “OFFfest” award, as well as being shortlisted for the Fringe’s award for Best Drama and the Write for the Stage prize for New Writing.
**Event and post-show panel discussion**
- The play will run for around one hour. On Thursday 16th May, it will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A discussion with the creative team, front-line workers from from women’s charities and representatives of the local authority.
- Representatives of local charities will be present throughout to support audience members who may be affected by the themes of the play. Attendees will have an opportunity to donate to these causes when booking and on the night.
