Outdoor dining, made for Manchester

Everybody loves eating alfresco in the summer but we know that a spot of rain is never far away in Manchester. So do you risk eating outside or not? At Zouk you can eat outside without the worry because the extensive outdoor terrace really is weather-proof. At the touch of a button, out pops a protective roof, turning it into a safe haven. Perfect for the Manchester summer. Decked out with beautiful bamboo and lush tropical plants, it’s great for those long evenings. And it’s heated too!

Cocktails to keep you refreshed

Say hello to summer refreshment with Zouk’s inventive drinks. The new cocktail menu is bursting with flavour, including their popular Strawberry Daiquiri made with fresh berries and plenty of liquor. Or if you fancy a citrus kick, how about the Tamarind Margarita which blends together tequila and cointreau with fresh lime and orange juice?

Of course, the food!

Zoukcurry

When the temperatures rise, the best thing to reach for is a spicy curry. Why? Because it is a fact that spicy foods can make you sweat more and cool you down. Try Zouk’s take on a traditional Railway curry – a Rajasthan lamb curry cooked on the bone using natural yoghurt and both fresh green chilli and dried red Kashmiri chilies. Hot and super tasty. Zouk’s award-winning food is prepared fresh and is ideal for alfresco dining, offering modern twists on traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisine. So whether you are a curry lover, curious or just want to try something new,  Zouk is for you. The Special Roasts are so much more exciting than your usual roast dinner. The meat is slowly cooked over hot flames and served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a spicy gravy which means business. Delicious.

Great for allergy sufferers

There are 5 starters and 44 main dishes to choose from which are free from gluten and wheat. Take that, food intolerances and allergies!

Perfect for Pokemon

Unless you have been hiding under a Poke-Rock, you will no doubt be aware that the augmented reality game Pokemon Go has been sweeping the whole wide world. Zouk offers complimentary wifi so it’s an ideal place to hang out and wait for the brightly coloured characters to walk on by whilst you recharge your batteries with food and drinks galore. You can access 1 Poke Stop ‘maths cage’  while sitting in the restaurant and there are more nearby. Just across the road from Zouk is the University which is also a Pokemon Go Gym where the battles take place.

They go on tour, too

The best things often go on tour in the summer and Zouk are no exception with a range of pop-ups up and down the country!  They have already been to Hardwick Hall and Glastonbury and they are lined up for Beat Herder, too. Then it’s off to Carfest and Streat Food Festival in August before finishing at the Great British Food Festival in September. So if you are out and about, why not pay them a visit!

Gift cards for foodies

Treat a friend or family member to Zouk gift card and you may feel the  benefit! The Cooking Class Gift Card provides a full practical session in Indian cookery and a chance to learn the secrets behind Zouk’s own succulent dishes. And maybe you can persuade them to try out their new cookery skills on you!  Or why not show your love in the form of a Restaurant Gift Card, available in denominations of £10. They may even take you with them!
