We’re sure it hasn’t escaped your attention that this Wednesday night (5th November 2014) is Bonfire Night – the commemoration of Guy Fawkes and his legendary Gunpowder Plot.

We’ve compiled a list of 8 bonfire and firework displays in Gtr Manchester to ensure you have a banging good time this Guy Fawkes Night…

1. Heaton Park

The biggest municipal park in Manchester, Heaton Park will be home to one of the biggest Bonfire Night displays in the region on November 5. In addition to an epic fireworks display and giant bonfire, a funfair and host of tasty treats will be on offer for families.

2. Platt Fields Park

Platt Fields Park is a large public park in Rusholme, Manchester, which is home to Platt Hall.

3. Wythenshawe Park

This beautiful park is set in 109 hectares of open parkland in South Manchester, with historic and ornamental woodlands, herbaceous borders, formal bedding, open grassland and beautiful wildflower meadows. All will be lit up by bonfire and fireworks on Wednesday 5th November.

4. Buile Hill Park

The biggest one in Salford, Buile Hill Park hosts a traditional display with a roaring bonfire, funfairs rides, toffee apples and burgers.

5. Little Hulton Community Bonfire

A lively community bonfire and fire work show in Little Hulton’s Peel Park (just past Walkden, heading towards Bolton).
