Popular BBC2 show Million Pound Menu is back in Manchester and the producers are searching for four charismatic waiting staff to be part of season two.

Fancy getting a behind the scenes look at what really goes on in the soft launch heat, or being a fly-on-the-wall during those key investor lunches? Then this could be the job for you.

The second series, hosted by Fred Sirieix, is filming at The Corn Exchange on 7th October 2018, bringing six pop-up street food traders to Manchester to battle it out over a late lunch and early dinner service each.

The aim? To capture the imagination of the general public and the investors with the hope of securing funding for their own bricks and mortar restaurant.

This year’s vendors look pretty exciting. Baba G’s will be bringing vibrant Indo-fusion flavours with their signature Bhangra Burgers; Asian-American Fusion vendors Tiger Bites will be serving up extra large Taiwanese bao buns; Devi’s will be offering up indulgent Indo-Persian to Eastern Mediterranean vegetarian flavours.

Time Out favourite BBQ Dreamz will be there with bold mouthwatering Filipino dishes; Pilgrim will be dishing up a 5-course tasting menu drawing on flavours from France, Spain and Portugal; and last but not least Coracle will be creating stylish, modern dishes celebrating their Welsh heritage.

If you fancy helping this year’s traders put their best feet (and food) forward, now’s your time to shine.

Shifts for successful applicants will comprise one lunch and evening service, done in pairs from 8th-19th October. And don’t worry. You’ll get days off.

Bookings are open now with diners able to enjoy 50% off food for the first dinner service.

Applicants must be available for a day’s training/rehearsal on Sunday 7th October. If you think you would enjoy being part of this exciting series and bring a professional touch to proceedings, please drop them an email with ‘WAITING STAFF’ in the subject line.
