A firm favourite amongst the MediaCityUK crowd, the Lowry Outlet Makers Market is back to host a three-day special to celebrate the late May Bank Holiday from 26th–28th May.

Famed for showcasing some of Manchester’s finest producers, the market will be pitching up on the plaza for the weekend selling artwork, handicrafts, vintage wares and an abundance of amazing artisanal food and drink.

Those looking for a Bank Holiday sweet treat must swing by Cheshire Cheesecakes and try their truly irresistible homemade delights. Top flavours include baked vanilla, lemon meringue and chocolate orange – be sure to grab them before they sell out.

Never tried the South African delicacies, biltong and droewors? Pay Weston Biltong a visit and taste their homemade British beef treats made the old fashioned way. It could change your snacking habits for life.

No market would be complete without some hot food to savour and Oh My Glaze have some of the best wraps, wings & delicious things around. Established just over two years ago, Oh My Glaze is growing into one of the most respected traders in the North West.

It’s not just about the mouth-watering food and tempting beverages at the Lowry Outlet Makers Market. There’s plenty for art and craft fans looking for something a bit different, whether it’s for the home, a loved one or simply a little gift for yourself.

Celebrate being northern with some fantastically funny framed prints by The Ink Slinger. Simple yet effective, they are the perfect gift for someone who’s proud of being a northerner – we’re talking classic phrases like “Put the big light on”, “You alright?” and “I love that me”. For music fans, take a look at their lyric prints and take your favourite home.

Looking for art that truly captures the vibrancy and soul of our great city? Look no further than the super-talented Ben Sedman. Originally from North Yorkshire, Ben’s collection of photographs from across Manchester and Chester is impressive to say the least. Fall in love with his images and choose a selection then he will create a unique design, especially for you. What a guy.

In true Manchester spirit, everyone at the market is super-friendly and the makers are more than happy to chat about their products. If you have the time, ask questions and don’t be shy. The chatter, amazing smell of food, tasty tipples and fresh air is what makes the Makers Market special. It’s a fantastic atmosphere for families, friends and couples looking for a day out with a difference.

Kelly Hurst, Centre Manager at Lowry Outlet, said: “Each month we look forward to the Makers Market pitching up outside on the plaza, so we’re thrilled to be hosting an extra day for all to enjoy on the last weekend of May.
