Despite living in a city known the world over for its football prowess and fanaticism in equal measure, it’s not always easy to find a good place to watch the game.

With the UEFA Champions League well underway and a summer full of World Cup action on the horizon, we figured it was the ideal time to let you in on one of our top spots to catch all the action, dodgy penalties and all.

Walkabout in the Printworks has 21 screens – including a huge projector – dotted over its sprawling 200 sq feet venue, so wherever you’re sat you’re guaranteed a stellar view of all the action. Huge, comfy leather booths line the walls, strategically positioned to give you the best view of their many screens.

To save you getting up and missing any of the action, beer towers are brought directly to your table as part of the unique sports table service. Available in 8 or 9-pint sizes, they are Walkabout’s sexed-up version of a beer pitcher, allowing you to pour your own pint at the table and keep your beverage of choice fresher for longer. No flat beer in here, thank you.

If you fancy grazing while you watch the match, you’ll be pleased to know the Aussie bar has refreshed its menu for the spring/summer season.

We went down to check it out the other week and highlights include various Aussie sharing boards and wing platters, plus some epic freak shakes. Get 100 wings for just under £40 and properly set yourself up for the afternoon. The aim of the game is to settle down and stay put for the duration of the game, after all.

As well as showing all the key football fixtures, Walkabout also screens boxing, wrestling and Formula 1, so they’ve got you covered no matter your sport.
